Answers to commonly asked questions.

Do you repair Apple products?

Yes! Don’t waste your time and money driving to the Apple store. We repair all makes and models of Apple Macintosh products including:  iMac, Macbook, Macbook Pro, and Mac Mini. We can also help you with any issues you may be having with OSX.

Will I lose my files?

In nearly all repair cases you will not lose any of your files.

The only time there is a risk to losing your data is in cases such as a failed or damaged hard drive, or certain types of computer hijacks which encrypt your files.  We will make every effort to recover your data which is successful in most cases, but sometimes there is nothing that can be done. This is why it is imperative that you keep a backup copy of your important files at all times.

What do I need to bring?

If you are bringing in a laptop computer for service, you simply need to bring the laptop and the power cord.

If you are bringing a desktop computer in for service, all you need to bring is the tower itself.  You do not need to bring any cables or peripherals. We have everything we need to diagnose and repair your computer.

How long will it take?

Most repairs are done within 24 hours of the time we receive the computer. In most cases the repair can be done the same day.

There are circumstances however when a repair will take longer. Usually this includes any service where a specialty part needs to be ordered or when data recovery is preformed. Data recovery times can vary greatly depending on the size of your storage device, extent of the damage, and how much data is being recovered.

When we diagnose the computer we will always give you an estimated time to completion before we being any repairs.

How much will it cost?

We pride ourselves on having the best service at the lowest possible price. Because different types of repairs can vary greatly in required time and materials, we cannot give you an accurate quote without first diagnosing the computer.  Our diagnosis is always no obligation and completely free.

Do you make house calls?

Yes we do make house calls. We understand that sometimes it is not convenient to bring your computer to us, especially in the case of desktop and server computers.

However sometimes bringing the computer in for repair is unavoidable. There are circumstances where a computer cannot be repaired in your home or office and it needs to come in.  Much like your car, there are some repairs that simply cannot be done without it going into the shop where they have all of the necessary tools to complete the repair properly.

We also understand that not everybody has the means to bring their computer in which is why we offer free pickup and delivery of your computer.

Can you pick up my computer and deliver it when it is fixed?

Yes we can! We offer free pickup and and delivery services in all of our service areas.  If you need us to pickup your computer, just give us a call and schedule a pickup. It’s that easy!

Can you solder electronic components?

Yes we can. Soldering seems to be a lost art lately for some but we still offer soldering services. If you have an electronic component that needs some soldering done to it, bring it by and we would happy to take a look. Unlike some other repair shops we do not farm these services out and we do all soldering in house so there is no excessive waiting period.
